I washed, clay bar’d, and polished the S10. I was gonna wax it too but ran out of daylight and arm strength.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Can’t even take proper pictures to show it off because it got dark. Bah.

The paint is squeaky clean. It literally squeaks when you rub your hand across it.

I’m so happy.

The inside, on the other hand, still hasn’t been cleaned since I bought it. Good thing I’m a clean person.

I probably said out loud a dozen times, “no wonder this costs so much.”

I probably didn’t do near as good as a pro place either.

Why didn't you use your other arm from time to time?

Thanks now I know I'll be taking the Bimmer to the car wash that charges 150 for clay bar and waxing.

I mean I did, but I kept defaulting to my right arm after I’d step away for a moment.

It’s hard ass work, but the end result is worth it.

(If I had the money, I would too)

You reminded me that I need to pick up a heavier pad for my polisher since my car has been repainted and the clearcoat is hard-boiled egg level of hard.

If you really want to break your shoulder off, lay down a heavy coat of Meguiar’s #7 Show Car Glaze, and try to remove it. Then, if you’re not in serious pain yet, get yourself some of that crappy turtle wax hard shell paste wax, and lay down a heavy coat of that lol

Well today I had to empty my cooler so I just poured it on my car and rubbed it with my hand a little.

I’ll give it a real wash eventually...

We have a polisher, I have ZERO idea why I didn’t use it.

I don't know if I'd have an arm left after that.

Sounds like me with the Safari. My form of washing that was it getting rained on.

I do like to give my car a thorough clean every now and then, but it’s been over 90 degrees outside every day for over a month now... I’m staying inside as often as I can.

pros usually have better tools, but even with all the right gear it’s still a lot of work to touch each part of the car correctly
